About Wholistic Psychotherapy:

Vikki’s approach to Wholistic Psychotherapy addresses the individual as a unified being: body, mind, emotions, spirit, and behavior, within her/his cultural context. Vikki sees each person who enters her office as a unique individual with a unique pathway of healing.

Each person begins life as radiant being—a miracle-- deeply connected to Source. As life proceeds with its inevitable hurts, limiting conditioning, and socialization—sometimes harsh and abusive—a wounding process occurs that can bury the individual’s core essence, or True Self. Then an adapted self, or false self emerges to cope with these challenges. The core essence self gets increasingly buried, in the service of self-protection.

But this adaptive covering-over of the core self leaves a person feeling various degrees of dis-ease and disconnection. This inner disconnect often leads to pursuing outer solutions to the inner distress, such as overeating, busyness, addictive patterns of using substances, TV, food, work or relationships. Symptoms of dis-ease arise, such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, failed relationship or work patterns, and even physical illness.

These symptoms are disguised gifts.

They are wake-up calls for our journey back to wholeness.

Vikki’s approach to Wholistic Psychotherapy seeks to reclaim the individual’s core essence, or True Self, through listening to these wake-up calls, releasing the effects of hurts and traumas, and integrating
